DroNav

DroNav by DronSystems is a Highly Automated Air Traffic Management System for Small UAVs Operating at Low Altitudes. The platform is a sophisticated self-learning complex, based on software and hardware elements, operating in distributed computing environment, offering multiple levels of redundancy, fail-safe algorithms for conflict prevention/resolution and assets management. The system is easily deployable, scalable, and allows safe management of concurrent operations of a large number of UAVs in the same airspace.

DroNav is being designed as a universal platform, connecting various stakeholders (operators, regulators, law enforcement agencies, product developers) and capable of providing interoperability of different systems  and airspace users in a unified environment. The proposed Project Evolution Plan allows for a phased introduction to the market with minimum required CAPEX from the stakeholders.

Full speed ahead for drone traffic integration: SESAR establishes U-space demonstrators across Europe

SESAR, October 19th, 2018

Dronsystems is proud to announce, that our technology has been chosen by European Commission to become a demonstrator of U-Space Service levels. Together with our partners, we will be working on an exciting project, which will become a testbed for European UTM. The demonstration will test U-space functionalities up to U3 in Missolonghi, Greece. The EuroDRONE drone architecture is made up of cloud software (DroNav) and hardware (transponder) to be installed on drones.

Quick Facts Check

The Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs, Drones) Market is already here and now, with forecasts indicating it can reach $10.04Bn by 2020, with CAGR of 11.6% (2015-2020). The market is constantly evolving and is in need of solutions, which would allow complex operations, such as beyond visual line-of-sight operations (BVLOS), assets management and situational awareness for both Commercial and Non-Commercial users.

A protocol for fully automated, semi-automated or manual UAV operations, which allows seamless integration of UAVs into the existing airspace through dedicated virtual ATC (VATC) platform. Depending on the mission, hardware configuration and theatre of deployment, DroNav will be able to work with no terrestrial support infrastructure.

DroNav is a fail-safe protocol, which combines procedures for both passive and active situational awareness, collision avoidance/conflict resolution methods and systems, offers integration with autopilot / referencing systems, and data link (optionally - dual channel and/or satellite) for messages exchange.

DroNav concept was born when everybody was excited about the arrival of a new toy. As pilots, we quickly realised the potential of UAVs for the industry. But we also saw problems, which had to be addressed. While many were discussing the direct, indirect and induced impacts, we got down to business. Business of making our skies safer, and lives of everybody better and more convenient.
